SONG LYRICS
Let’s burn a hole
So we can climb out
Of this paper walls
In this empty house
Don’t listen too close the words are like guns
With bullets that fly and kill what you’ve won

Let’s burn a hole
So we can climb out
Of this paper walls
In this empty house
Were the only thing that’s real
These visions we have of ten years ago
Of stars on the sky and us down the road
With streets and east coast lines
We kept the scene alive

Here I am
Still hold on to this
Dream we had
Won’t let go of it
Hear me now
You will never be alone

Don’t listen too close the words are like guns
With bullets that fly and kill what you’ve won
Some love to hate and some tell you lies
So let’s make a toast and kiss them goodbye
We’ll kiss them all goodbye

Here I am
Still hold on to
This dream we had
Won’t let go of it
Hear me now
You will never be alone
Here I stand
Won’t turn back again
Won’t leave you
Know how hard it's been
Hear me now
You will never be alone
Yeah

Let’s take what hurts and write it all down
On this paper walls in this empty house
And when our ink runs out
We’ll burn it to the ground

Here I am
Still hold on to
This dream we had
Won’t let go of it
Hear me now
You will never be alone
Here I stand
Won’t turn back again
Won’t leave you
Now I understand
Hear me now
You will never be alone
Yeah

MY REVIEW
:

Best line
: Here I am / Still hold on to this / Dream we had / Won’t let go of it / Hear me now / You will never be alone

What I think the lyrics are about
: Um, I guess the song's about people who've been together for quite a while and their relationship comes with ups and downs. When you've been together for a long time, your realationship can become some sort of drag, want it or not, and you can hurt eachother even if you don't want to. In my opinion this song is about showing that no matter what has happened and no matter what will happen, if your love is strong enough, you can get through anything together. It's kinda not giving up on a dream you had together.

What this song reminds me of: It doesn't really remind me of something I've been through or whatever, but it gets to me and that's what makes this song so beautiful to me.

My bottom-line review
: I really love Ryan's vocals in this song. It's really cool that the song starts with a really slow and quiet part and that afterwarts, the song kinda 'explodes' (Couldn't find a better word for it). The lyrics and voice are really powerful, to fit the music. It's amazing.

My rating
: 10/10 I love this song! =)

Best line
: let's burn a hole so we can climb out, of these paper walls and this empty house, where the only thing that's real, of visions we had of 10 years ago

What I think the lyrics are about
: ryan is writing about this album and yellowcard and people in general...quote, unquote from ryan "i think it's impossible to spend time with the people you love, and depend on...and not put up walls between each other...this record was an experience for all of us...to, find ourselves, as adults...i guess it felt, we were all, sitting in our own...little houses and seperated by the walls we had put up between each other...realise that those walls might just be paper thin....we needed to escape...it was time to burn them down"

What this song reminds me of: friends and family...putting up walls to guard themselves and eventually things just get bitter
