Artist Biography Sean Michael Wellman-Mackin (born 30 april 1979) is the violinist and back-up vocalist of pop-punk band yellowcard.
Sean played violin since he was only six years old!
Before Yellowcard, Sean had never played with a rock band but was in an orchestra.
Sean Mackin in interview to swanktrendz:
"I was brought up on classical, with a little more jazz when I went to high school. I started doing some some improvisation with the violin and then began a little more of the rock side, but I had been classically trained from the age of six. So I could venture out, yet always return to the classic."
Sean Mackin in interview to Confront magazine:
"My first concert was a Face To Face concert in Jacksonville, Florida. My mom never let me go to rock shows, so when I turned 16, I just hung out with my friends and Face To Face was my favorite band. It was pretty awesome because I got to be in the front row and Trever Keith was playing at me and I was singing every song. It was pretty rad! The last concert I went to... (thinking) Wow! I can't remember! I saw Ben Folds about a year and a half ago. That was the last concert I went to. He was amazing."

Career Highlights:
- He has gained fame in Yellowcard concerts for performing backflips.
- Back to his musical direction - it wasn't until Sean met the group of friends (that would go on to become Yellowcard) that he started playing music and playing different musical styles. Sean started writing songs and being part of a band.
- In 2005, while recording Lights And Sounds, Yellowcard album, Sean was conducting the orchestra.
- Sean Mackin is writing himself all violin parts for every new Yellowcard album, like Lights And Sounds, Paper Walls.

This kid used to be a pretty good tennis player too....He actually got me into it back in the day....Sean and I lived in the same neighborhood for years in Ponte Vedra Beach,Fl. Sean was one of the nicest kids around and you could always count on him. Im happy he has had the success he has had...Especially since he used to HATE his music lessons!!,,,,Good for you Sean....
