My Review: For me this album took absolutely ages to truely enjoy. Only is it, in the last couple of months i haven't been able to stop listening to it. Something which i haven't yet done with this record. This record is a lot more darker than the bands previous records, and only now i actually appreciate this record to be different. I still partially stick by my earlier thoughts in saying a lot of the songs are similar, in having the same feel, or vibe. But the songs are in fact solid and really enjoyable to listen to. It's a record i like to listen to during the colder seasons and it makes me really take in the weather and the worl passing by.

My Review: lights and sounds is by far my favorite of yellowcard's albums, and it always has been. i remember when it first came out, it seemed like most people didn't like it and it was getting negative reviews. i think people had trouble getting used to the fact that it just wasn't the same as ocean avenue, which i thought was a good thing. its not because i didnt like ocean avenue but because this album wasnt just made to do whatever it took to sell more records, it was reminiscent of what was really going on in their lives. thats what i like about yellowcard the most is that you almost feel like you know them just listening to their music and stuff :)

My Review: Comensamos con '' Three Flights Up'', una balada sin voces, entrando un piano muy melodico, luego entra el violin, es muy tranquila, apasiguada y termina lentamente, y justo en ese momento entra abruptamente '' Lights and Sounds'' Es realmente orgasmica ( no tengo otra manera de describirlo ), una cancion excelente, muy bien producida y rockera y por consiguiente se pierde mucho el violin, Algo que se vera mucho en este disco, el violin se pierde o se es puesto mas de fondo. Lights and Sounds es quizas la cancion mas '' Rockera'' de Yellowcard. Luego viene Down On My Head, quisas una de las canciones mas debiles del disco es mucha mas tranquila, mucho mas pop comparada con Lights and Sounds. Le sigue '' Sure Thing Falling '' cancion que entra con una guitarra que suena muy bien, ademas tiene un coro muy bueno. Luego vienen '' City Of Devils '' una excelente balada, musicalmente recuerda a '' Rocket '', es muy melancolica, con una letra que provoca soledad y tristeza. Aqui viene otro de los puntos mas altos de este disco; '' Rough Landing Holly '' . Aunque las letras no sean lo mas profundas, musicalmente es excelente, en esta canción por fin se puede apreciar el violin. Es rapida y pegajosa, una de las canciónes mas alegres de L + S. Despues esta '' Two Weeks From Twenty '', que es otra cancion lenta, que incluye trompetas, y habla sobre un muchacho estadounidense que es enviado a Irak. No es una canción propiamente del estilo de Yellowcard, es de un sonido extraño, para mi gusto, la canción menos buena de todos los discos y canciones de Yellowcard, ( desde que esta Ryan en la banda ). Luego viene '' Waiting Game '', '' Martin Sheen Or JFK '' y '' Space Travel '' que son canciones muy similares musicalmente, y en letras tambien, hablan de cosas relacionadas con el amor, o mejor dicho, de los problemas de este. Despues '' Grey '' , otra de las canciones bien rockeras, esta cancion fluye como si no tuviera coro, pero no por eso no deja de ser buena. A Continuación Esta '' Words, Hands, Hearts '' , que se destaca comparada con las 4 canciones anteriores, ya que es diferente en la forma que canta Ryan y en el uso del violin. Despues viene '' How I Go '', canción con letras inspiradas en la película '' Big Fish'' . Esta canción se destaca por el uso del piano, de guitarra acustica y al igual que en '' View From Heaven '', de el acompañamiento en las voces de una chica: Natalie Maines, de la banda '' Dixie Chicks'', que tiene una excelente voz y junto a Ryan hacen un gran duo, sin opacarse el uno al otro. Esta es claramente la canción del disco que recuerda mas a los sonidos del '' Ocean Avenue''. Para finalizar, '' Holly Wood Died '', La mejor canción del disco, esta cancion te dice '' esto es Lights and Sounds '': osea, contiene de todo, comienza bien rockera, el violin, al igual que en casi todo el disco, suena mas de fondo, pero no por ello suena mal, la verdad se complementa de forma excelente con la guitarra, y luego cuando esta terminando la canción entra una orquesta, donde se pueden escuchar Chelos, Clarinetes, Violas, un sinfin de Violines y por supuesto piano, para finalizar con la misma melodia de '' Three Flights Up '', Una manera mas que excelente de terminar el disco.

My Review:is a great album and i really like the introduction of the album, maybe is the album that more sounds and diferents emotions have the band in a album. me fascina este album la mayoria de las canciones enfrentan tantos sentimientos ke hacen de este album una mezcla de melancolia, dolor, alegria, vida, emocion, deseos de volar, de vivir y de todo,,,es mi 2 album favorito, y es excelente.

My Review: This album is great! I like the lyrics of <Grey>, <Holly Wood Died>, <City Of Devils> and <How I Go>, this album has 6 of my favorite songs of all the time, but still, in my opinion it's not the best album they've made. <Lights and Sounds>, <Rough Landing, Holly> and <Holly Wood Died> sounds more rockin' to me, overall it's a great album, this album made happy and sad, but I enjoy it very much!

My Review: This album is awesome! I don't understand why people keep saying it's not as good as the other albums! This album shows the evolution the guys've been through, they kinda matured when they made this album. I love it, the lyrics are amazing, the music superb, as always ^.^

What or who this album makes me think of: A lot actually... But I guess mostly of growing up and discovering the world isn't that perfect like you thought it was when you were younger. And of course discovering life isn't always that fair, or not always what you wanted it to be.
